Big-name field enlivens betting market for Underwood Stakes

Saturday's Underwood Stakes at Caulfield will see several big names attempt to build early form for some of the season's biggest horse racing events.

The $350,000 race features Predatory Pricer and Whobegotyou, who claimed victory in the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

The pair have faced one another on three previous occasions with Predatory Pricer winning twice to one victory for Whobegotyou.

Also in the field is the Peter Moody-trained Typhoon Tracy, plus Makybe Diva Stakes winner Vigor.

According to Adelaide Now, Predatory Pricer trainer Peter Moody brought up the horse's 2-1 record over Whobegotyou when asked if he was likely to dodge the back-in-form Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes winner.

"We beat him once, why not again?" Moody said.

IASbet has Whobegotyou down as the early favourite in the pre-post horse racing betting.

He is on 2.60 with Vigor on 6.00 and Typhoon Tracy on 8.00, while Predatory Pricer is out at 12.00 as of Wednesday.

Peter Moody has admitted he is considering a key change of tactics for Typhoon Tracy on Saturday, AAP reported.

He said there was a chance she could be ridden further back in the Underwood after she was beaten by a nose by Vigor in the Makybe Diva Stakes.
