Home advantage has just edged the New Zealand Warriors into favouritism to win the 2016 Auckland Nines at $4.00 with Sportsbet

Next in the betting come the well fancied Cronulla Sharks at $7.50, and last year’s beaten Grand Finalists the Brisbane Broncos at $9.00

Rank outsiders for the tournament are the Canterbury Bulldogs and the Melbourne Storm, neither of whom will be taking the games as seriously as the market leaders.

With online bookmaker Sportsbet reporting that following a huge surge on New South wales in the immediate aftermath of the brutal game one, the market has shifted towards Queensland, with almost 60 percent of all stakes now on the Maroons.

Queensland are favourites at odds of $1.60, with New South Wales priced at odds of $2.35

“The early money was for New South Wales before it swung sharply to Queensland, but it’s now flat lined. Bets and money are coming in at the identical rate for both teams,” Sportsbet spokesman Ben Hawes said.

Of the correct score betting for the whole series, a New South Wales clean sweep 3-0 is the best backed at odds of $3.50
