Australia have been positioned as favourites in rugby betting markets to overcome England on Saturday but must face a resurgent Johnny Wilkinson.

Wilkinson will be back as fly-half at Twickenham on Saturday and has been in red-hot form for his new French club side Toulon.

Australia coach Robbie Deans has said Wilkinson makes England "more dangerous" for the Wallabies, who are on odds of 1.55 with SportsBet for Saturday's test.

Australia will be looking for a strong showing during the Grand Slam tour of Great Britain and Ireland after losing six of their last seven matches.

England are on 2.45 for the win and are at 3.50 to lead at both half-time and full-time.

Elsewhere former England playmaker Mike Catt has given the thumbs-up to England's new-look midfield of Wilkinson and Shane Geraghty

"There's no reason why they can't make it a success. They are both decision-makers, both comfortable with ball in hand, both good kickers with a left-right option, all of which helps keep defenders guessing.''

The presence of Wilkinson is a major boost to England, who have suffered a series of squad pull-outs due to injury.

Centre Mike Tindall is the latest to be ruled out after he suffered a hamstring problem playing for Gloucester.
