Broncos form doesn't fool NRL tipping experts
Posted on September 18th 2009 by Pom de Turf
Fearsome form and the performance of star front-rower Dave Taylor could prove the edge for the Brisbane Broncos when they take on St George Illawarra on Saturday.
The second NRL semi-final is at the Suncorp Stadium with both sides battling for the right to play Melbourne Storm in the preliminary finals.
Form is with the Broncos, who have won their last five in a row, while the dragons have only claimed victory in one of the last five.
Betfair has the Broncos at 2.10 for the win compared with the Dragons on 1.89 with the same bookmaker.
NRL tipping experts have been leaning towards the Dragons slightly thanks to the Broncos blowing hot and hot in some recent games.
Laurie Daley, via Foxsports.com.au, said: "The Broncos still worry me because they tend to float in and out of games, even though they have been winning.
"That’s the only thing that worries me about them, that they have this habit of falling asleep and leaking points.
"If they do that against a very good team like the Dragons, I think they can be beaten."
He has the Dragons down to claim victory by two points, with Betfair offering 3.50 for the Dragons to chalk up victory by a margin under 12.5 points.
