Broncos keep NRL betting experts guessing on line-up

Brisbane Broncos are keeping the pundits guessing as they mull over their starting line-up for the second NRL preliminary final on Saturday night.

The Broncos take on Melbourne Storm at the Etihad Stadium and earlier in the week their team sheet named youngster Alex Glenn at halfback.

But onlookers have seen veteran Tonie Carroll filling this spot, with The Australian saying he spent much of a Tuesday training session in the area normally filled by regular halfback Peter Wallace.

The Broncos are currently the 3.00 outsiders for the tie with Sportingbet, compared to 1.40 for Melbourne with the same bookmaker.

Quoted by The Australian, coach Ivan Henjack said of Wallace: "We will miss his kicking game and defensively he has built up a good understanding with Corey and Izzy, so we will miss that.

"We have enough good players in our team to score some tries, so as long as we aren't chasing too many points we will give ourselves an opportunity."

Meanwhile the Storm said Scott Anderson had recovered from a hamstring problem and would be available for the weekend showdown.

The winner of Saturday night's clash will take on the winner of Friday's Eels v Bulldogs tie.
