Bulldogs may prove too much for Canberra

A winning record at the host stadium for both teams in a tight NRL clash on Saturday could make picking a winner a difficult job.

But one tipster may have pinned it down for NRL betting fans after looking carefully at Bulldogs V Canberra at the ANZ stadium.

Laurie Daley, writing for Foxsports.com.au noted the Bulldogs have picked up eight wins from their last nine appearances at the ground, while Canberra have four from their last five appearances there.

The Raiders pulled out a shock recently by trouncing the Brisbane Broncos 56-0, but Daley expects a "tougher task" for them against the Bulldogs.

"The Raiders away form has been terrible this season," he writes, and "it’s hard to see them dealing with the Bulldogs gritty up-and-in defence".

Centrebet.com has odds of 1.24 for the Dogs and 4.05 for the Raiders – so the daring might actually want to go against Daley's thoughts following their mauling of Brisbane.

However punters may want to bear in mind the "speed out wide" the Bulldogs have in abundance.

Elsewhere Daley pointed to a win for the Manly Sea Eagles against South Sydney at Brookvale, also on Saturday.

NRL betting for this one sees Manly at 1.23 and South Sydney at 4.25 with Sportsbet.com.au.
