NRL betting odds favour the Eels as Titans welcome back Zillman
Posted on September 15th 2009 by Pom de Turf
A four match suspension has come to an end for William Zillman, who has been named in the Gold Coast Titans squad for their crunch NRL finals encounter on Friday.
'Super sub' Zillman will make his first-ever finals appearance against Parramatta at the Sydney Football Stadium.
The news comes as the Titans drift to 3.60 with Betfair to win the semi final against the Eels, who are the favourites on 1.37 with the same bookmaker.
The odds have developed in favour of Parramatta even though they have lost all three competition matches against the Titans since 2007.
Titans coach John Cartwright said he felt forwards would be crucial on Friday night and added his side could take some positive points from last Saturday night's loss to Brisbane.
Quoted by the Titans' official website, he said: "I thought we more than matched the Broncos on the weekend.
"They had a lot more ball than us and we ended up missing a lot less missed tackles than they did and to do that against a side with that quality of player, I think our forwards answered their critics pretty well on the weekend.''
The second semi-final, between Brisbane and St George Illawarra, takes place on Saturday at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
