NRL Round 5 Betting Odds

Prices, previews and NRL betting tips for Round 5;

St George-Illawarra Dragons v Brisbane Broncos betting odds
The Dragons, joint NRL favourites before being overpowered by The Storm last week, will be looking to bounce back against The Broncos. And they should do this with the minimum of fuss, hence their restrictive price of 1.11 with Sportsbet. The Broncos can be backed at 1.91 with an 18 start on the handicap here.

Gold Coast Titans v Melbourne Storm betting odds
The Titans surrendered their unbeaten record last week, and we strongly fancy The Storm to inflict another defeat. We rated The Storm as 1.40 to win here, so take the 1.50 on offer from Sportsbet as the banker bet for Round 5 multis.

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Newcastle Knights betting odds
Knights coach Rick Stone will spend the week explaining away how his side could lose a 24-6 half time lead against Penrith. So a trip to a resurgent Rabbitohs will not give any respite. The Knights are 2.75 to get the victory, but we'll take The Rabbitohs to pile on more pressure, at 1.91 (minus 6.5 points on the handicap)

Canterbury Bulldogs v New Zealand Warriors betting odds
The Bulldogs are strong home favourites here at 1.38 to beat The Warriors, but we rate this far closer. Sportsbet are giving The Warriors an 8 point start on the handicap, which looks good enough for them to take the points.

North Queensland Cowboys v Wests Tigers betting odds
The 3 + 0 Tigers head to the 2 + 2 The Cowboys in an intriguing clash. We would have fancied The Tigers, just, were it not for the impressive way The Cowboys put away the unbeaten Titans in Round 4. The Sportsbet bet odds for a home win at 1.75 are fair enough, so include the Cowboys in Round 5 multis.

Manley Sea Eagles v Cronulla Sharks betting odds
No one is quite sure what to make of The Sharks shock victory against The Eels last week. We dont think that was a fluke, and confidence is the key factor in the NRL at the moment. We are with The Sharks here plus 10.5 on the handicap. And if you're being greedy, take the 4.75 for Cronulla to win by 1-12 points.

Penrith Panthers v Sydney Roosters betting odds
Another tight game to call, especially given the Panthers amazing comeback last week. The bookies have this spot on with the home side at 1.80. There is no obvious value in any money line here. Pass.

Parramatta Eels v Canberra Raiders betting odds
The Eels are hurting badly after being bullied by the wooden spoon favourites. And they need to bounce back, quickly. And they will. The odds of 1.36 are nothing special, but include them with The Storm in the banker double of Round 5
