 Australia's rugby union side are also in action on Saturday as they take on New Zealand in the Bledisloe Cup Test in Japan.

On the same day the league side take on hosts England in the Four Nations, the Wallabies face a powerful Kiwis side in Tokyo.

Bookmakers have the rugby league squad as firm favourites to overcome England, but are less convinced of the union team's chances of overcoming New Zealand.

IASbet has Australia at 2.70 to win the first Bledisloe Cup Test to be played in Japan, with New Zealand the favourites at 1.45.

Having already lost the cup to New Zealand this year, some could be forgiven for thinking Australia may not put in their best performance, but the coaching staff have said the side will be giving everything on Saturday night.

Wallabies coach Robbie Deans said: "The significance of the occasion – with it being the first Bledisloe Cup game to be played in front of a Japanese audience – demands a spectacle, and I'm sure that you will see that.

"These are two proud nations, and the players are proud to be putting on their national jumpers. I’m sure that will reflect in their performance."
