Bosnian confidence is high for today’s second leg World Cup play-off with Portugal despite the side losing the first leg 1-0 away.

A tense tie on Saturday was decided by a goal from Bruno Alves in Lisbon, meaning the hosts in Zenica have to win by two clear goals to go through in normal time.

But Bosnia coach Miroslav Blazevic has called on home support to whip up a hot atmosphere today and has declared: “We will win in Zenica.”

Latest World Cup odds for the tie at Betfair see Bosnia at 2.98 for a win, with Portugal only marginal favourites for the victory at 2.58.

Correct score odds are at 19.50 for the 2-0 result which would see Bosnia go through in normal time, while a 1-0 scoreline which would send the game into extra time is at 9.80.

Portugal’s goalkeeper Eduardo has let in just two goals in ten international matches, and Bosnia have failed to win any of their last three home matches.

As such some punters may be surprised by Betfair’s odds of 3.35 for a game which yields under 1.5 goals.
