Grand National Betting Tips

Posted on March 6th 2010 by G Waldorf

With 4 miles and 4 furlongs to travel, and 30 mammoth fences to jump, and 40 runners taking part, you would think the Grand National is a lottery. But far from it. there are certain key trends which can narrow the group of potential winners significantly.

The last 10 winners of The Grand National all follow these simple trends

  • *1. The horse must be 8 - 12 years old

  • *2. The horse must have a handicap rating of above 135

  • *3. The horse must have been first in at least one race of at least 3 miles in distance

  • *4. The horse must have competed in at least 10 steeplchases

  • *5. The horse must be in the wieghts "proper". i.e. not out of the handicap

  • This year's Grand National favourite at the time of writing is Tricky Trickster, heading the market at 12/1 with Bet365.com

Bet365.com are offering all new customers up to £200 of free bets (or AU$ equivalent)
