Andy Murray has firmed his odds at the top of the tennis betting markets for the Paris Masters after Roger Federer crashed out.

The world number 1 fell to local boy Julien Benneteau, who turned the game on its head with a break of serve and advanced to the third round.

Betfair now has the scot at 4.40 for the tournament following his progress to the third round and his impressive victory at the Valencia Open last week.

Thursday's play includes an appearance by Rafael Nadal, who will face Tommy Robredo, with the Spaniard at 6.80 third favourite.

Murray will play Radek Stepanek later in the day, with the Czech 46.0 for the title and Betfair offering match odds of 1.29 for Murray and 4.30 for Stepanek.

Second favourite Novak Djokovic will play Arnaud Clément, another French contender, although the Serb is the outstanding favourite for the tie and is on 5.00 for the tournament at Betfair's tennis betting market.
