EPL Round 2 odds - Manchester City v Liverpool
Posted on August 20th 2010 by
Manchester City and Liverpool both recorded draws in their opening games of the season although City were certainly the more fortuitous to in getting their point on the board.
Liverpool led Arsenal for the majority of the second half despite being reduced to ten men and would have took all three points but for a late error by keeper Pepe reina. City, on the other hand, have their goalkeeper Joe Hart to thank after a scintillating display between the sticks at White Hart Lane.
So where do each team go from here? City’s home form was the cornerstone to their success last season and they will be looking for much of the same at Eastlands this campaign.
However, it was evident against Tottenham that this group of players will take a bit of time to gel and I wouldn’t be rushing to back them $2.30 just yet.
Liverpool looked solid at the back against Arsenal and it took a fortuitous goal for The Gunners to undo them. I suspect they will set up in a similarly solid fashion against City on Monday and thus goals may be sparse.
Recommended Bet: Back Under 2.5 goals @ $1.57 with Sportsbet
