Del Potro sets his standards high

Quoted on freebettingonline, Del Potro said that he would have to work on a few significant areas in his game if he is to break the top four in the world rankings.
He said that his ‘serve and forehand’ are probably the areas that need the most work.

However, he also gave praise to his recent opponents, saying that playing against the likes of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer has improved his game. His goal is to rise up in the rankings at a quicker pace than he is at the moment, with the US Open champion saying: “I have to keep working.”

He had a few words to say about his recent loss in the final of the ATP World Tour Championship in London.

Commenting on the defeat by Nikolay Davydenko, Del Potro said that he was ‘pleased’ with his performance, and that he hoped his reverse would make him more popular in Davydenko’s home country of Russia.

Bookies Betfair are offering Del Potro at 6.6 as overall winner of the Australian Open.
