Trainer Bart Cummings has attracted all the attention in the build-up to Tuesday's Melbourne Cup, with all three of his runners heavily backed.

He is bidding for a 13th Cup and is behind Allez Wonder, Roman Emperor and current favourite Viewed.

Viewed, on odds of 4.80 with IASbet, is last year's winner and ran third in the MacKinnon stakes at Flemington on Saturday.

Quoted by ABC, Cummings said: "He was getting warmed up on the post and the extra distance will be up his alley.

"If the weight doesn't stop him, he'll probably have a good chance of winning again."

He added Roman Emperor is looking good and will do well if rain falls on Tuesday, while Allez Wonder could hang further back than she did in the Caulfield Cup.

IASbet also has Roman Emperor at 9.00 and Allez Wonder on odds of 31.00.

Cummings already has the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate under his belt from this spring, and punters seem inclined to back him over other race favourites such as Alcopop, on 5.00, and Shocking, on 10.00.

The same bookmaker has also recorded movement for Crime Scene, the Godolphin Stable horse, who has dropped from around 61.00 to 51.00.
