Another betting surprise from Anthony Cummings?

 Lovemelikearock trainer Anthony Cummings has declared himself unruffled by statistics which appear to threaten the filly's chances in the Spring Champion Stakes.

According to the Daily Telegraph, no filly has managed to win against three-year-old males since the group 1 2000m Randwick race first appeared almost 40 years ago.

Lovemelikearock is at 9.00 in the horse racing betting markets for tomorrow at IASbet, behind favourite Onemorenomore, on 2.30, Gathering at 6.50 and Viking Legend on 7.00.

Quoted by The Telegraph, Cummings said: "Records are made to be broken. Also, I think you will find only a few fillies have contested the race over the years as most are aimed at the Flight Stakes.

"Lovemelikearock showed she can compete with the boys when she beat them in the Spring Stakes at Newcastle."

Cummings also has a recent record of training unlikely winners, with Road To Rock upsetting the field at the George Main Stakes last weekend.

Cummings has a number of other horses competing at Randwick tomorrow, including Road To Rock in the Epsom Handicap.

He has dropped to 4.80 for the race, having started the betting at around 5.50 with IASbet. The favourite is still Rangirangdoo on 3.00 with the same bookmaker.
