Fremantle have new regime for newest players
Posted on December 2nd 2009 by
The team hope that this new system will get the best work out of the
recruits in a short period of time, and push them towards senior playing
level by next season.
Simon Lloyd is the newly hired senior development coach, and it is his
job to turn his newest players into seniors with an ‘elite performance
program’, that is focused on first to third year players.
He made it clear that Fremantle will be investing a lot of resources
into the new recruits.
Big Pond reported Lloyd as saying: “Those that do make it are very high
in ambition, have high drive and have high resilience”.
“We’re tipping a lot of resources into this group, but also we’re going
to demand a lot from them and also we expect them to demand a lot from
each other.”
Fremantle are currently on at 3.65 to reach the last 8 in the AFL 2010,
according to sports bet specialists Betfair.
