Geelong face St Kilda once in AFL 2010 fixtures
Posted on November 22nd 2009 by
Defending AFL champions Geelong have been handed a fixture list which largely keeps them away from their main challengers for 2010.
The cats face their grand final rivals St Kilda once, in round 13 in the first of three games in the second week of the split round.
The 2009 champions then do not meet the Western Bulldogs until round 20.
On paper the hardest part for Geelong comes in a run late in the season when they play Hawthorn, Adelaide, the Brisbane Lions, Sydney Swans, Collingwood and the Bulldogs in successive weeks.
Latest AFL betting at IASbet sees Geelong at 4.20, just behind fellow 2009 grand finalists St Kilda at 4.00.
Western Bulldogs are third in the betting at 6.50, while Hawthorn stand on 9.00.
Also in the mix are Adelaide, currently on 10.00, while Brisbane and Collingwood are both level on 13.00.
