Denman is also tipster's darling in Caulfield Guineas betting
Posted on October 8th 2009 by
Tipsters have been going for the early favourite Denman in the ongoing build-up to Saturday's Caulfield Guineas.
Betfair's Kristen Manning went for the star colt in her regular tipping round-up, citing his outstanding form.
Denman has remained firm favourite for the 1600m $1 million race, standing on 2.90 with Centrebet.
Manning wrote at Betfair.com.au: "Five last start winners, two of those - Denman and Carrara - boasting picket fences next to their names.
"The former, one of only two contestants to have already won at group 1 level (Manhattan Rain the other), is favourite and likely to be short."
Manhattan Rain is currently available at 5.00 with Centrebet while Trusting remains the second favourite at 4.85 with the same bookmaker.
As of Thursday afternoon, Carrara was on odds of 21.00, level with Tickets, while So You Think, trained by Bart Cummings, was on 8.00 with Centrebet.
Manning also tipped Starspangled banner and Carrara as potential eachway bets, with the former on 2.70 and the latter on 4.40 for placings punts.
