St Kilda have made further changes to their player list ahead of the start of the 2010 AFL season, promoting a number of rookies.

Zac Dawson and Luke Miles have been elevated to the main squad while defender Matt Maguire has been delisted.

The team has already been busy having already waved goodbye to Jarryd Allen who was delisted through injury, and Colm Begley, who has returned to Ireland.

St Kilda coach Ross Lyon said: "The Club extends its appreciation to these players for their contribution to the Saints and for the way in which they have conducted themselves."

Lyon has also recently been talking about what the club needs to do to improve on their grand final loss to Geelong last season.

He told Saints.com.au: "We're focusing on finalising our list. It's a matter of what comes up in order and we also want to get some more talent through the door in the national and rookie drafts."

St Kilda are still tied with Geelong Cats when it comes to early AFL betting on the 2010 Premiers.

SportsBet has both of them on odds of 4.25, with Western Bulldogs next on odds of 9.50.

Adelaide and Hawthorn are next in the bookmaker's AFL betting market, both tied on 9.00, while Brisbane and Collingwood are currently on 12.00.
