Two international horses have emerged from the open field of Saturday's Caulfield Cup to firm favourable odds.

Betfair now has Cima De Triomphe as the second favourite, on odds of 9.20, while Godolphin horse Kirklees has moved to 9.00 joint favourite.

The latter has plunged from just below 25.00 earlier in the betting according to Betfair's price graphs.

A favourable barrier draw of seven has seen betting steadily gather at the door of Kirklees' stable, while Cima De Triomphe has also been climbing steadily in most markets throughout the week.

Predatory Pricer is the current joint second-favourite with Betfair, on odds of 9.00, level with Kirklees.

Officials from the betting exchange said Kirklees had actually touched 65.00, which one punter happily gobbled up from the earlier pre-post betting markets.

Cima De Tiomphe has also been snared as high as $60 in the pre-post markets.

Betfair's Mathew Thompson told the Herald Sun: "The other amazing betting story is Bart Cummings' mare Allez Wonder. She was matched at $160 barely a fortnight ago, but has come into as short as $15.50 since winning the Toorak last week."

Vigor has also been up and down in Betfair's markets, standing as the favourite at around 6.00 at one point, before stretching to 20.00 after a below-par showing in the Turnbull Stakes. He has since firmed again to around 9.00 and above.
