Raheeb edges out Black Piranha in Toorak markets

 Raheeb has emerged as the early favourite for Saturday's Toorak Handicap, edging ahead of star galloper Black Piranha.

The entire won the listed 1400m Paris Lane Stakes at Flemington last Saturday and is going for his first group 1 win at Caulfield this weekend.

IASbet has him on 5.00 down from 5.50, with Black Piranha on odds of 6.50, while the current second favourite is Raffaello on 6.00.

Meanwhile, trainer John O'Shea believes 10.00 shot Racing To Win also has a chance in the 1600m group 1 Caulfield run, and has backed him to bounce back from a disappointing showing in the George Main Stakes.

Quoted by The Age, he said: "Things didn't go right for Racing To Win in the George Main last time but he finished alongside Rock Kingdom, who turned things around yesterday [when he won the Epsom Handicap] and I'm sure this horse can do the same."

Other early odds for the $350,000 Toorak include 10.00 for Rock Kingdom and 11.00 for Chasm, while Magical Pearl is on 17.00, all with IASbet.

Outsiders in the betting include Gallica at 21.00 and Pinnacles at odds of 31.00 with the same bookmaker.
