Sunday horse racing highlights
Sunday racing includes a meeting at Muswellbrook with the highlight of
the the Darely 2009 Denman Cup.
Runners include New Zealander Ruud Roy running from barrier 12 and Regal
Celeb from barrier nine, plus Real Strike from 11.
Regal Celeb has four placings from the last five including a win over
1800m in April and third over 1200m in September.
Meanwhile Little Britain has two wins in the last three including a
double in August over 1400m and 1100m.
Spy Agency is also in form having claimed a win on September 25 in the
1600m Scone Picnic Races Handicap.
Sunday's horse racing also features meetings at Sunshine Coast and Port
Lincoln among others.
Sunshine Coast highlights include the Lyndhurst Stud Class 2 Handicap
over 1200m with 97 starters listed for the day over all.
Port Lincoln is opening its racing season with a fundraising event and
family day at the Ravendale Park Racecourse.
The curtain-raiser on Sunday includes luncheon hosted by the Port
Lincoln Dragons Abreast and the Port Lincoln Race Club.
Quoted by the Port Lincoln Times, racing club chief executive officer
Ian McCleery said: "Dragons Abreast are an exceptional charity, and we
are hoping racing patrons and the general public will get behind this
special luncheon and enjoy what will be a very positive opening to
season 2009-2010."
