Trainer hopes hot streak will continue on Wednesday
Posted on August 14th 2009 by Pom de Turf
A trainer is hoping his return to winning ways will continue on Wednesday when he enters Our Mr Stilts at Eagle Farm.
Danny Bougoure is back in Queensland after he moved to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria in 2004, according to AAP.
Our Mr Stilts is appearing in the 1835m Sita Environmental Handicap, and Bougoure also has Bella Sierra in the 1000m Australian Special Metals Maiden Handicap, although AAP added the trainer is thinking of scratching the second entry thanks to an awkward barrier draw.
At Ipswich last Friday the trainer chalked up a double and two placings, and Our Mr Stilts has a win and two placings from his last three races.
Quoted by AAP, Bougoure said: "I was always going to come home but I came back sooner rather than later."
"I've had about five or six winners in the city since I've been back and I'm hoping for another tomorrow."
Our Mr Stilts was beaten in a photo finish by D'Elcatraz in his last start, a no-metro win race at Eagle Farm on August 12.
Bougoure also earmarked Chilled as the main threat on Wednesday, telling AAP he looks "the one to beat".
