The prospect of wet weather at the MCG tomorrow appears unlikely to change the selection plans of both coaches for the AFL grand final.

Geelong coach Mark Thompson said the poor weather would have no bearing on how he lines up the Cats.

"We won't change anyone unless they get a virus or crook back. The conditions won't change our lineup at all", he said.

His opposite number Ross Lyon, boss of St Kilda, said: "We'd like to think we've put a game plan together that can handle any dimension, any conditions.

"From our perspective it (the weather) is not a controllable. It's the elements, it's what makes the game's great."

Online AFL betting markets still have Geelong as the favourites for the showpiece final - on 1.65 with Betfair, while St Kilda are on 2.48 with the same bookmaker.

Betfair is also offering 7.8 for Geelong to be leading at half-time and St Kilda at full-time, while there are also odds of 10.00 for Nick Riewoldt to be first goal scorer, compared to 14.00 for Justin Koschitzke.

Geelong are the form team of the moment having scored an impressive victory over Collingwood in their last match, but St Kilda have the better overall record in the season.
