AFL: All The Odds For A Busy Saturday
June 10th, 2014 by TJ DilferRound Thirteen really hits its stride on Saturday 14th, with no fewer than five games for you to enjoy, so we’ve got all your AFL odds here to make sure you’re ready! We’re going to have to set the telly box to record a lot of these, but if you can find a way to clear the day and get settled in front to these, there are some real treats in store…
First up are Fremantle and Richmond in a game that Richmond would dearly like to win to stop the rot of a couple of defeats in a row already, but that will be a massive uphill struggle for them against a Dockers side who are looking to keep their own winning streak going and climb higher towards safety in the top eight.
Then there’s a massive top-of-the-ladder clash between the leaders Port Adelaide and the ret-hot Swans. The Power are the outside bet in this one, with odds of $2.80, but they would dearly love to collect the points and maintain that cushion at the top of the ladder. Can they contain the Swans, though, who look like they are building some real momentum?
Gold Coast are in action against West Coast in what could be a key game for both clubs: they’re both short of wins in the past couple of rounds, and they’re both in danger of sliding down the ladder if they don’t find a way to win – a loss by the Suns would probably see them drop out of the top eight, and that would be a shame after a season that has seen some real success coming their way. We seem to be saying this every week at the moment, but it’s another huge game for the Gold Coast boys!
Elsewhere, there’s Brisbane against GWS in a bottom-of-the-ladder scrap, as well as a contest between Adelaide and North Melbourne that could be a really close-fought affair, and that could see some movement in and around that all-important eighth spot…
