Both the cricket and rugby union sides have seen a change of coach and a change of culture, and both seem to be the better for it. Looking at the NRL odds after seven rounds of hard-fought games, it’s still the Roosters who carry the billing of favourites, but they’re joined at odds of $5.00 by Manly, who have won those odds on the back of a strong early season. There are few teams who can play the Monday night game and be back firing on all cylinders by the next weekend: it’s a tough game. But there won’t be any excuses over the Anzac Day weekend.
