AFL: All The Odds For Saturday

June 4th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

There’s another busy day on the cards on Saturday, with lots of AFL Round Twelve action to fill up your afternoon. We’re at a pretty important stage of the season, and the top eight is far from decided – there’s a pack just outside the magical finals spots, and there wasn’t any movement at the bottom of the ladder in Round Eleven: there are plenty of teams keen to get themselves moving on up, and plenty more desperate to stay in touch at the top, so get all your Round Twelve odds by following the link, and get ready for a full day’s entertainment!

The reigning premiers are up first, against West Coast, and Hawthorn will be targeting a win that will keep them in second place on the ladder. With Port Adelaide eight points clear at the top, all the Hawks can do is make sure they nail down second place and hold off strong challenges from the pack of teams all on 28 points, including a resurgent Swans

Port Adelaide are in action, too, on Saturday, and overwhelming favourites over St Kilda, but there’s likely to be more focus on the teams that are currently outside the top eight and scrapping desperately to stay in contention. The Western Bulldogs need a win to put a stop to a losing run that has already lasted a couple of games, and they’ll be confident of that against the Lions. A win for Essendon, meanwhile, will put them right in the mix with Fremantle and North Melbourne, and land them on the same 24 points as either of those if they slip up. That’s all they can do at this stage of the season, and they’re odds-on to win against GWS.
