AFL: All The Odds For Saturday

April 23rd, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

After all the excitement of the AFL’s Anzac Day fixtures, you’d think there would be some let up, but the action just keeps on coming on a Saturday that features three games for you to enjoy. There will be some good odds out there for you to take advantage of, so just follow the link for all our Round Six odds

First up on Saturday is an ever-intriguing clash between the two youngest sides in the AFL. Gold Coast and GWS will have that in common for a long time, you would think – and at least until one of them enjoys a season of genuine success and dominance they will be seen as the new kids on the block. So they will both want to put down a marker here, especially GWS, who have enjoyed a decent start to the season, but who have had the worse of most of their recent clashes with the Suns. Gold Coast go in as the favourites with odds of $1.20, and that could just be down to the Gary Ablett factor – he’s been having another season of great performances so far. The odds for the Giants on Sportsbet look a little long at $4.20: we’d give them a better chance than that with the power they’ve got and the defensive improvements they’ve made since last time these two met, but they still have it all to do.

There will have been some happier nights’ sleep at Carlton since their first win of the season took them just a little bit away from the foot of the ladder, but they also suffered some key injury blows in the win over Western. The Eagles, meanwhile, have been on the wrong end of a couple of results, and they could do without a Blues resurgence if they’re going to keep in touch with the top of the ladder. Look for the Eagles getting the shorter odds at $1.65, but Carlton go in with the momentum, and they might be worth a close look at $2.25.

Saturday comes to a close with what could be a one-sided encounter between Sydney and Melbourne. You can expect the Dees to put in a gutsy performance – they’ve shown some real grit and no shortage of resilience so far in 2014, but on the face of it the Swans could just be too strong for them to handle. The bookies certainly have it that way, offering odds of $1.08 for Sydney, and $8.00 for a Melbourne win. Either way, you can get all your AFL odds and plenty of markets for all odds on those Round Six games and more just by following the links!
