AFL: Get The Odds For Hawthorn vs Port Adelaide

May 21st, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

Round Ten of the 2014 AFL season has come around, and there’s no shortage of great games in store for fans at the weekend. And there’s blood in the water in what could be the biggest of them, with Port Adelaide taking on a wounded Hawthorn outfit who remain classy, but who will have to find some real depth to be competitive with a Power side who are realistically the form side in the competition.

All the Round Ten odds are waiting for you at the other end of that link, and you’d be foolish to overlook the other games on Saturday. But there’s no doubt that all eyes will be on the Adelaide Oval for what could be a season-defining clash between the top two teams on the ladder. Port Adelaide fans will be relishing the chance to score what could be a crucial psychological advantage over the Hawks, and you would think that the reigning premiers will never be more vulnerable, thanks to a long list of injuries, and to key players, too. But there has been much made of Hawthorn’s strength in depth, and it’s fair to say that the side that runs out on Saturday evening will be full of fringe players looking to make a name for themselves and claim a regular starting spot. The Power must absolutely beware complacency, but they do go in as the favourites at odds of $1.42, and you would think that it will be hard for them not to think ahead to what the spoils of victory might be: an eight point gap at the top of the ladder, a psychological edge over a side that will be in the mix at the end of the season, and some real momentum to get them to that stage. Whichever way it goes, there’s a mouth-watering encounter in store, so get your Round Ten odds and all your futures, too, by following that link and this one: AFL odds.
