AFL Odds: Can The Power Take Fremantle?

September 11th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

Fresh from ending the Tigers’ fairytale, Port Adelaide face a stiff challenge in Saturday’s second AFL final of the weekend, but are they up to it? We’ve got all the AFL odds you could want for this one, and for the premiership as the action hots up, so hit the link there and check them out!

The 2014 season has been a tale of ‘nearly there’ for the Power, and they pretty much threw away some great work in the middle third of the season to drop away from a minor premiership that looked for all money like it was theirs for the taking. Then they sputtered to the end of the regular season, securing a finals place, but not setting imaginations alight by any means. Much will have been forgiven by their fans, though, after a powerful (excuse the pun…) performance to put an end to Richmond’s finals dreams, and if they can produce their best form, then they can certainly overcome odds of $2.42 and do the same to Fremantle.

For their part, the Dockers will be wary of a Power outfit who can do them real damage on their best day, but they’ll come into the game with a degree of confidence, too: remember that they beat Port Adelaide just two weeks ago to win themselves this extra chance at the finals, and they’ll be more than keen to make the most of it. That said, they’ll have to be better if they’re going to reverse the result they suffered at the hands of the Swans last weekend. You have to be in a final to win it, of course, and the focus for the Dockers is very much going to be on keeping their season alive, and earning another shot at the Swans and anyone else who stands between them and the premiership…

So just click the link here for all the AFL odds for this weekend’s finals, and for some interesting-looking futures for the 2014 season as it comes towards its exciting finale!
