AFL Odds: Chris Knight Eyeing Comeback

January 7th, 2015 by TJ Dilfer

It’s time for the hard work in advance of the 2015 AFL season, and when we’re looking over the AFL odds for the coming year, we’re looking quite closely at Richmond, who are at odds of $2.00 to make another appearance in the finals this year, but we’re not sure how they’ll pull up in 2015: it took a near-miraculous run of wins to sneak them into finals footie last year, and they only earned themselves a schooling when they got there. The bar will most likely be set at a finals win in 2015 for the Tigers, and we’re undecided as to whether they’re the genuine, competitive article.

One thing that might make things a little easier for the Tigers, and a piece of news that will make Richmond fans a happier bunch, is the likely return of Chris Knight to the ranks of the fighting fit. The 28-year-old suffered a horrible knee injury back in 2013, and has been battling to get back since then. According to the man himself, though, things are looking good: ‘I’m starting to believe again. This been one of the hardest training blocks I’ve done in my AFL career and to get through it unscathed and feeling good the whole time gives me great confidence. All I’m going to focus on is making sure I’m doing everything I can to get my body right and play the best I can, and whatever happens, it will take place. Then at least I can look back and say I did everything.’

Whether Knight can make a big positive impact on the Richmond season remains to be seen, but his return to fitness is a good-news story, and that’s never a bad thing at a club. We’ve got all the AFL odds you need to make up your own mind about the Tigers in the new season, so why not click the link?
