AFL Odds, Specials, Futures And Markets For The Grand Final

September 24th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

The 2014 Grand Final is here, and it’s shaping up to be a huge game – a clash of two great sides that have accounted for the last two Premierships between them, and who will be putting it all on the line to grab the bragging rights for this season. The bookies have the Swans as the favourites as of today, with odds of $1.60 for Sydney to win it on Sportsbet right now, but the futures aren’t the whole story, and if you follow this link to all the AFL odds we’ve got for you, you’ll see there’s plenty on offer to spice up a game that already has the makings of a classic!

Sportsbet have plenty of markets on the Grand Final, as you’d expect, including the chance to pick your own line, and predict the winning margin (or a cheeky draw at $34.00…). You could pick the first goalscorer, and it’s Franklin and Roughead who have the shortest odds there. Those are a couple of names you’ll get used to hearing if you get the chance to watch the Grand Final, and they’re all over the betting, too. But there’s so much more on offer at Sportsbet that you’re spoilt for choice: pick any bets you like from total behinds or most possessions to quarter, half and full time score predictors. Or how about a $1.88 bet for more than 182 points to be scored in the game – or the same odds for fewer than 182?

We’ll just mention a couple more specials that Sportsbet are offering on the Grand Final, because it highlights one of the themes that will be most interesting in a Grand Final that features a good number of high-profile players who have played together in recent years, but who will be wearing different jumpers in the last game of the 2014 season. If the trio of former Hawks chalk up 5 goals and 75 possessions between them, then Sportsbet will pay out at odds of $4.50. It could be that those three have a big impact on the game – and especially Lance Franklin, who along with Jarryd Roughead could be the player who swings the game either way. There are a couple of head-to-head bets involving those two that you might find interesting, but we’ll let you look over them yourselves once you’ve hit this link: AFL odds.
