All NRL Odds For Some Great Games In Store In Round 22

August 7th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

Sportsbet may have paid out early on the Sea Eagles to take the minor premiership, but there’s still plenty of rugby left to play in the 2014 regular season – there are more than a dozen sides who are still very much in contention for the finals, and you can see from the Round 22 odds that there’s room for some upsets this weekend, and some results that will see changes on the ladder…

Saturday’s games might look one-sided on paper, but this is pressure-cooker time in the 2014 season. The Storm are just above the real scrap for the last of the finals places, and they’ll want to stay that way, and want to keep their recent resurgence going, too. The Cowboys and the Eels, meanwhile, are both on the same 24 points as the Warriors, who are between them on the ladder. Needless to say, both will want a win to dig themselves into the top eight, and they’ve both got the odds in their favour going into Saturday, but the Knights, Tigers and Raiders will have plenty to say before the points are chalked up, you can be sure.

On Sunday it’s the Warriors and the Dragons who are odds-on to pick up points, and they’ll both be grateful for them if they can make the odds count. The Warriors have been inconsistent in 2014, but now is the perfect time to find their finals form against the last-placed Sharks. The Dragons, meanwhile, showed some great early promise this year, but have lost their way a little bit: a win over the third-placed Panthers would be a great way of getting themselves going, and a handy two points besides.

All the NRL odds for the season as it builds to an exciting climax are waiting at the end of the link, including all those Round 22 odds
