Betting on AFL: Rounds 12 and 13

June 15th, 2013 by admin

We’re looking forward to a good couple of weekends on the bounce in the AFL as we pass the half-way point of the season, and the ladder starts to take the shape that will be crucial come year’s end. There are some really interesting odds kicking around at this stage, and we’re sure that there are some canny bets to be placed over the next fortnight. Here’s a look at a breakdown of the odds, team-by-team.

Freemantle are on the end of some of the shortest odds this weekend, at $1.06 to ease past Brisbane. The weekend after should prove more of a test for the Dockers: they’re 1.28 to beat North Melbourne.

Brisbane fans will likely be looking past their clash with Freemantle (they’re at a long, long $10.00) towards a fixture against Geelong at half the odds – $5.00. Might only be Brisbane fans parting with their money on either game, though…

Elsewhere this weekend, Hawthorn ($1.25), Richmond ($1.33) Essendon ($1.20) Port Adelaide ($1.23) and Collingwood ($1.13) are all heavy favourites to pick up wins. Look out for a really close one next Sunday – Freemantle at $1.28 face off against North Melbourne, who might be worth a bet at $3.40
