EPL Week 8 Big Tips
October 15th, 2013 by G WaldorfLooking at the games taking place in week 8 of the English Premier League, only a couple leap out at us as great betting games. They are Arsenal v Norwich and Everton v Hull. Our tips therefore are focused on those two games.
Arsenal v Norwich City 01:00 Sunday 20th October 2013
Arsenal are huge favourites for this game at short odds of just $1.30, we are not going to tip that! Looking at Arsenal’s strong start to the season and Norwich’s very poor start, clearly the Gunners are going to win this game.
Our first tip is to back the Draw -2.0 at odds of $4.00. We think Arsenal will win comfortably, but with a tough Champions League game at home to Dortmund just 3 days later, Arsenal are liable to sprint out of the blocks, and then hold Norwich at arms length for the rest of the game.
Our second tip follows naturally, as we tip Arsenal 2-0 at odds of $6.00 and Arsenal 3-1 at odds of $10.00.
Finally, given we believe Arsenal will start the game well, we like the look of the Time of First Goal Scored at Up to and including 23 minutes at odds of $1.94.
Everton v Hull City 01:00 Sunday 20th October 2013
Considering Hull are only 1 place below Everton (and 1 point) the gulf in odds is huge, with Everton installed as $1.44 favourites. This will be a tight game, and backing Draw -1.0 at odds of $3.30 is a sensible bet.
We also recommend backing Draw / Everton at odds of $4.00.
This game does have the potential for an upset, so a very modest saver bet on Hull to win outright at huge odds of $7.50 is worth having.
