Here Comes State of Origin 3!
July 4th, 2013 by adminState of Origin 3 is coming, and that Maroons onslaught in the first 20 minutes of the second game has really thrown down the gauntlet. NSW will have to come back strong, and they’ll need every man in the side to stand up and be counted if they’re going to regain the momentum in the series, and seal a win. There has been plenty for the pundits to talk about ahead of final team selection, with Josh Dugan clear to play after copping a one-match ban, but not guaranteed a place by any means, and Paul Gallen struggling to clear up an injury in time to lead the Blues out.
And there has already been a lot of betting, too, with much more to come before the game, no doubt. NSW are $2.10 to win the game and take the series when the teams head to Sydney on the 17th, with Queensland the favourites at $1.75. Take a look at $4.00 for the Maroons to win by 13 or more – that could be a canny bet if you think the series has swung too far in favour of Queensland for the Blues to pull things back. Anyone fancy Greg Inglis to cross the whitewash first in the decider at $10.00? What about a cheeky bet at $1.83 that there will be more points scored in the second half than the first? The neutrals would love a nail-biter that explodes in the last ten minutes…
