NRL Odds: Another Big Weekend

August 27th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

There might only be a few rounds left, but there’s been no let-up in the intensity of the NRL games coming your way – in fact, it’s building up to a thrilling finish that will see the scrap for the top four hotting up, and the battle for that eighth place on the ladder as close as ever. We’ve got all the odds for Round 25 for you at the other end of that link, but it’s maybe time to start thinking ahead to the finals, too, so we’ve got all sorts of NRL odds for you to look over.

The Storm face a tough test in Round 25 when they take on the Roosters, and the odds are against them going into the game, but fullback Billy Slater has been talking to the press this week, and telling them that this is the year that a winner will come from outside the top four. We’re not sure it that means he doesn’t back his Storm side to get into the top four, but thinks they can win it from outside – or if he thinks Melbourne will finish in the top four and get beaten in the finals.

One thing’s for sure, though – you can’t win it from outside the top eight, and the Warriors will have that thought in mind when they take on the Titans. It’s been a woeful run for the Gold Coast boys, and the Warriors need to heap more agony on them if they’re going to get up into the finals. Expect a ruthless display, or expect distraught Warriors fans…

Manly and Penrith look safely out of the melee below sixth spot, but Melbourne are snapping at the heels of the Panthers, and a win will take some of that pressure off. Last week showed that the Sea Eagles can be beaten, and the Panthers could steal a real march if they collect the points in Round 25: the trophy can be won from outside the top four, but it’s probably easier from fourth than fifth.

Last of all, the Cowboys will be keen to get in, get the points and get out again in Round 25 – they play the embattled Sharks, who will be wooden spoon favourites for sure if the Raiders can beat the Tigers in the same round that Cronulla go down to the Cowboys. Check out all those NRL odds for the finals – all your futures and betting markets are there for you!
