NRL Odds: Round 25 Is Here And It’s Crunch Time!
August 27th, 2014 by TJ DilferWe’ve been saying for a little while in these pages that this is shaping up to be one of the tightest and most exciting NRL seasons we can remember, and it’s only going to get more tense this weekend with massive games coming thick and fast. As always, we’ve got all the Round 25 odds you’re going to need if you fancy a bet on any of the games, plus plenty more NRL odds if you’re looking ahead to the finals.
The action starts on Thursday night with what could be the blockbuster fixture of the round: both the Bulldogs and the Rabbitohs are sides who are hungry for points, and something has to give when they clash on Thursday. If the Rabbitohs are going to claim a minor premiership, you’d think that a win in Round 25 is a must-have, but that will be a tough task against the Bulldogs, who have got themselves back on track in the last two rounds, and who won’t want to lose momentum now.
Then on Friday it’s the Dragons and the Broncos scrapping it out for their chance to make a bid for the finals. These two are hovering outside the finals places, two points adrift from eighth spot, and you’d think that whoever loses this one could well lose touch with the last of the finals spots. The pressure’s on, and that could make this game a cracker.
On a busy Saturday, the Knights have given up hope of the finals in 2014, but they can throw a spanner into the works for the Eels when these two meet. The odds favour Parramatta, though, and they’re fresh off the back of a win over the ladder leaders, so they’ll fear no-one this week! The Raiders and the Tigers are both out of the running for the finals, but the Raiders will be keen to win again to open up a bit of a gap between them and the wooden spoon. It’s a game that could be eclipsed by the one that follows, though, which sees the Storm take on the Roosters. Both have won four from the last five games, and now’s a great time to lay down a marker for the finals, which they’ll both be involved in. There’s more than bragging rights on offer here, and it could be the game of the round…
