NRL: Short Odds For Manly, Canterbury On Friday

July 29th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

Six weeks of the 2014 regular season remain, and the Sea Eagles are sitting pretty, a couple of wins clear at the top and with three wins from the last three games. They’re your favourites to take the Grand Final, too, with odds of $3.50 beside their name on Sportsbet as of today. But there’s plenty of rugby to be played between now and the Grand Final, so check out all the NRL odds you’ll need going into the weekend by following the link!

Manly kick the round off on Friday night: they’re in action against the Broncos, whose fans will be rueing a missed opportunity against the Storm: that result in the last round, which saw Melbourne run out comfortable winners, lifted the Storm a couple of points out of the titanic rumble for the last of the finals spots, but left the Broncos right in the mix with the six teams between seventh and twelfth on the ladder all stuck on the same 22 points. It’s a big ask for the Broncos to beat Manly, you’d think, but if they can overcome those odds of $3.20 and grab the points, it would likely light a fire under their season just at the tight time.

Also on Friday night, there’s potentially a treat in store for the neutrals when the Panthers take on the Bulldogs. Sitting in third and fourth on the ladder, on the same 26 points at the second-placed Rabbitohs, neither side has won in their last two outings. Neither of them looks to be in immediate danger of being dragged into the rumble below them, but this is hardly the ideal time of the season to be seeing your form desert you, especially in the big games against the clubs around you on the ladder – they can be that crucial psychological edge when it comes to finals rugby, and both Penrith and Canterbury will be eager to lay down a marker on Friday night.

All the NRL odds you’ll need as we close in on the business end of the season are waiting at the other end of that link, so check them out!
