Punters seem to love Heart Of Dreams

 Heart Of Dreams has been among runners firming seeing their odds firm for Saturday's Cox Plate, with prices shortening for the second favourite.

The gelding started off around the 7.00 mark with Betfair but has shrunk to around 6.00, having drawn barrier three for the $3 million group 1 race.

Odds for the Underwood Stakes winner have also dropped at Sportsbet, which also has him on 6.00.

Sportsbet Australia chief executive Michael Sullivan told Racing and Sports Whobegotyou was still the favourite but his main rival had been gaining ground.

He said: "He has clearly been the best backed runner since the barrier draw and is now into $6.00 after a rush of big bets came for him at $7.00,”

“He beat Whobegotyou in the Underwood and was only narrowly beaten in the Yalumba Stakes and with a much better draw, there is no reason he can't come out on top again.”

Sportsbet Australia has Speed Gifted as the third favourite at 9.00, while So You Think, trained by Bart Cummings, comes in at 13.00.

Over at Betfair, figures show Scenic Shot has been a major market mover, having at one point been out at around 34.00 before firming to 17.50.
