Joe Pride-trained Vision And Power will be looking to complete a remarkable turnaround in his career when he lines up at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

The horse last caught the eye when finishing third in the Yalumba Stakes, behind Whobegotyou, current Cox plate favourite, and Heart Of Dreams, second in the betting for tomorrow's headliner.

Jockey Hugh Bowman will be hoping Vision And Power can improve on this performance and beat both to the post in the $3 million Cox Plate.

When arriving at Joe Pride's stable in 2007, the horse had managed only one win from 19 races.

Two years later, and he has managed nine wins and six placings in 31 starts under Pride's tutelage.

SportsBet is offering odds of 19.00 for Vision And Power, with current favourite Whobegotyou on 3.20 with the same bookmaker.

Pride told Sport 927: "I think it's going to be a very genuinely run race"

"I'm very happy with the horse, I think I'm praying for what everyone else is, a little luck in running."

He added he expected a fast-paced race, which could suit the chasing style of Vision And Power.

Nick Moraitis is the owner of Vision And Power, and has tasted Cox Plate success in the past when winning with Might And Power in 1998.
