Golden Rose Racing Odds: Nostradamus Confirmed
August 27th, 2014 by Pom de TurfAfter a very impressive win in the San Domenico Stakes, it looks like the next chance to see Nostradamus in action will be the Run To The Rose – and that means that Nostradamus is most likely to be aimed at the Golden Rose Stakes come September 13th, so you’ll see him feature in those Racing Odds for the big race.
First things first, of course, for trainers the Hawkes brothers – they’ll want to see a strong performance from Nostradamus in the Run To The Rose. Punters and pundits will be watching closely, too, for a feel of the sort of form Nostradamus will bring to the Golden Rose. His trainers are taking it one step at a time – Michael Hawkes sounded fairly positive and relaxed when he spoke to the press last week: ‘he won very well and did everything right. There is lots of improvement in him, we feel. He’s done very, very well, he looks good in the coat and we can’t fault him. We just want to draw a good barrier.’
And with a good draw, Nostradamus could easily come away from the Run To The Rose with another win beside his name – and that wouldn’t hurt his standing in those Racing odds as we head towards the Melbourne Spring!
