Melbourne Cup Racing Odds: Seismos In The Mix

September 17th, 2014 by Pom de Turf

Darren Dance last week confirmed that Seismos, the experienced stayer recently acquired by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock, will aim to contest both the Melbourne Cup and the Caulfield Cup in the 2014 Spring Festival. So make sure you’re up to date with where he’s going to fall in the Racing odds for both races by following then link just there…

Since changing hands, Seismos has apparently been working well for new trainer Marco Botti, and Dance was happy to confirm last week that he’s on track for both the Caulfield Cup and the Melbourne Cup – races that were in the plans for him right from the start, and which are the reason for his move to Australian owners. Says Dance: ‘Seismos is a horse that we have bought for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups. He is a younger horse, he is a very tough horse, he runs on the speed and our plan is to bring him out on the first shipment and have a crack at the Caulfield Cup. We will try and earn some money there and onto the Melbourne Cup. I wouldn’t suspect that we will have any problems getting a run in the Caulfield Cup. He is already a Group 1 winner over 2400 and being a last start winner over Red Cadeaux that should put us in good stead.’

We don’t know about the possibility of seeing Seismos in action in Australia before the Caulfield Cup on October 18th or the Melbourne Cup on November 4th, but we’re certain he’ll feature in the Racing odds for both – watch this space for more as we hear it!
