If you’re looking to go elsewhere for the Carbine Stakes, then you’ll want to have a little look at the second line, which has Kermadec and Wandjina on it. We’d have thought that Gai Waterhouse-trained Wandjina might be worth a close look at odds of $8.50, and Kermadec is between him and the favourite Azkadellia at $6.00.
Meanwhile, in the Lexus Stakes that’ll also be jumping off at Flemington on Saturday, punters have been just as decisive, if not more so. The Lexus Stakes is also a great chance to see a couple of Melbourne Cup hopefuls in action: Caravan Rolls On and La Amistad are both in the mix, and either one could have a real say in the race.
