Myer Classic Odds: A Classic Clash In Store

November 1st, 2014 by Pom de Turf

Not long now until they jump off in the Myer Classic at Flemington, and there’s still very little to separate May’s Dream and Sweet Idea in the Racing odds we’re seeing ahead of the race – this could be a Myer Classic that’s set up to be exactly that: a memorable tussle between two eye-catching prospects that could go either way…

With May’s Dream the initial favourite but softening, and Sweet Idea hovering with odds not much longer, it looks like both the punters and the bookies feel this could very easily go to either of these two. A look on Sportsbet right now will tell you that Sweet Idea is at odds of $7.00, while you’ll get $6.00 for May’s Dream, so nothing much between them still. There could still be some doubts hovering around Sweet Idea, though, according to Sportsbet’s own Christian Jantzen: ‘Sweet Idea’s easy win in the Tristarc Stakes over 1400 metres suggested she should get the mile trip but there’s still some uncertainty among some punters.’ Before you back May’s Dream instead, of course, you should probably follow the link we’ve got here for you to the Racing odds for the race – you’ll see that Neena Rock and Catkins both have single-figure odds beside their names as of right now, and Solicit and Politeness aren’t far out of the mix, either. This one’s shaping up nicely, and there’s not long to wait now!
