Racing Odds For The CB Cox Stakes

The CB Cox Stakes has been eagerly anticipated, and there have been a few names front and centre of the betting from a good way out – Real Love was a bookies’ favourite early on, but won’t run on Saturday, and we’ve seen Balmont Girl scratched after a fair number of punters were tempted by the odds next to her name. And if you can cast your mind back to the nominations, you’ll recall that it was Moriarty who was leading the headlines, but he won’t feature either. So is there a sense that this year’s CB Cox Stakes is wide open, and rich with possibility for more than a few horses, and for punters, too?
Certainly, if you head to the other end of this link here – Racing odds – you’ll see a few bets that catch the eye. Elite Belle is the horse with the shortest odds on Sportsbet as of right now, and at $2.80 she’s a good deal ahead of Bass Strait, who’s getting $4.60. But the stand-out deal for this weekend’s CB Cox Stakes could easily be Ihtsahymn, who’s a $5.00 bet but bringing some red-hot form with him, and being picked but a few pundits to storm home and register another win.
