It rarely feels like it for the fans, who are able to just sit back and enjoy the whole show as it gets more and more tense towards the business end of the season. But for the players and the people making the big decisions at each AFL franchise, the season is a long campaign, with a ferocious battle every week. And when injuries inevitably come, they can really affect those AFL odds for your team and their chances of reaching the finals or lifting silverware.
