Elkins v Stephens head to head odds

Elkins $2.05 Bet Now
Stephens $1.71 Bet Now

This fight is likely to be all about the first round, and that’s just fine by us. These two fighters will be pleased to be opening up the main card, and we’re confident that they will both be looking to make an impact on a packed night of UFC action. They’ll be looking to do it in very different ways, though – and that will make this one a compelling contest to watch...

Darren Elkins is a guy with a great wrestling game to bring to this fight, and the reality for Stephens is that if this one goes to the mat and stays there, that’s where it will finish, and in Elkins’ favour. Elkins is a $2.05 bet to win the fight, and working in his favour will be the fact that Stephens isn’t the most technical fighter around, which could give him plenty of opportunities to secure a takedown, and make him pretty good value.

But if Stephens isn’t a very technical fighter, he is definitely an incredibly dynamic one, and a guy who’s certainly capable of finding a knockout punch from almost anywhere. Stehpens is the factor that makes us think it’ll be the first round that’s the key to this fight: he’ll likely come out strong, knowing that a win here – and an impressive win especially – will push him into the top ten of the division, and looking to find a quick KO with his impressive striking game. If he can’t make that happen quickly, though, then openings will start to appear that Elkins can exploit, and that $1.71 bet for Stephens to win it will look like long odds when the points decision goes against him...
