Big day for EPL top 4 challengers
Posted on November 7th 2009 by TJ Dilfer
Man City, Aston Villa and Tottenham look to push their Champions League claims on Saturday.
With the EPL's top two clubs meeting in Sunday's big game at Stamford Bridge, the 3 clubs looking to move into a Champion league place must take advantage today.
Aston Villa, Man City and Tottenham all play at home against seemingly inferior teams. Sportsbet make Villa a 1.80 favourite to beat Bolton Wanderers, Man City 1.31 to beat Burnley, and Tottenham 1.53 to beat Sunderland.
Sportsbet's "without the big 4" market is headed by Man City at 1.40.
In future's betting, Chelsea remain short priced favourites to win the EPL at 2.20, followed by reigning Champions Man Utd at 3.25, and Arsenal at 4.50. A badly out of form Liverpool side are out to 21.00 as they lick their wounds from Lyon's injury time equalizer that almost certainly knocks them out of the European Champions League.
